Welcome to The Warrior Medic
For every man who knows something is wrong.
If you’re reading this you’re probably carrying wounds you’ve never fully named. Scars from a childhood you couldn’t escape. Pain you’ve learned to hide so well that even the people closest to you don’t see it.
You’ve survived. You’ve built a life. From the outside you might even look successful. But on the inside there’s a battle still raging — explosive anger that surprises even you, authority issues that have cost you opportunities, relationships that feel impossible, shame you can’t quite shake.
You’re not crazy. You’re not broken beyond repair. You’re a wounded warrior who’s never had the right medic.
Welcome.
What This Is
The Warrior Medic is a podcast and a community for men who are tired of bleeding and don’t know where else to turn.
Not another self-help program. Not a ministry telling you to man up and pray harder. Not clinical theory from someone who studied trauma in a classroom.
This is a man who has been where you are — talking honestly about what it cost him, what healed him, and what he learned along the way. New episodes every week on YouTube. No performance. No easy answers. Just truth.
The blog exists to go deeper between episodes — to give you space to think, reflect, and connect with other men on the same road.
What You’ll Find Here
Every post and every episode starts with the wound — because that’s where every man’s story actually begins. We name it, trace it back to where it started, and walk toward the only thing that has ever actually healed it.
Not a program. Not a religion. A person with a name — who has been in the basement too, and who goes there with every man willing to make the descent.
Topics we cover:
The anger that destroys your relationships and where it actually comes from.
The father wound that shows up in every boss, every authority figure, and every attempt at faith.
The walls that are killing your marriage and why you built them.
Why you can’t trust God as Father — and what changes when you meet the real one.
Practical steps for healing that don’t require you to pretend you’re further along than you are.
Ground Rules for This Community
To keep this a safe space for real men doing real work:
Honesty over performance — we’re done pretending. Real struggles, real questions, real progress. No fake victories.
“Me too” over “man up” — we validate each other’s pain before offering solutions. A man who shares his struggle needs to hear he’s not alone before he hears how to fix it.
Hope over despair — we acknowledge the darkness but we always point toward light. Recovery is possible. Healing is real. Freedom exists.
Respect boundaries — some will share deeply, others more cautiously. Both are fine. We don’t pressure men to share before they’re ready.
No graphic details — we can talk about abuse without describing it in ways that trigger other survivors. Focus on effects and healing, not explicit trauma descriptions.
Point to professional help when needed — we’re brothers in recovery, not therapists. When someone needs clinical intervention we say so clearly and lovingly.
Where to Start
New here? Three steps:
First — Listen to Episode 1. That’s where it all begins. Find it on the Episodes page.
Second — Get Forged by Fire. Bill’s full story. The book the Christian publishing industry wasn’t willing to write. Find it on The Book page.
Third — Come back weekly. New episodes and new posts every week. Consistency is how healing happens.
Your healing matters. Your story matters. And you were never meant to carry this alone.
